The Moment returns next week!

Gerta de Jong is stepping down from her role as treasurer and bookkeeper for Trinity United Church.  We express our appreciation for her years of service in this critical position.  We have been blessed with her gifts and her commitment to Trinity United for these years. The situation, therefore, arises for us to look for another person to fill these very important shoes. The role works primarily with, and is supported by, the Stewardship Committee and the Board of Trinity United. We have a complete list of duties, for anyone interested in making an inquiry about what the position entails. If you would consider supporting Trinity by providing bookkeeper and treasurer services, or if you have a suggestion as to who might be able to do this, please contact the church office. They will put you in touch with Steve Teller, the representative from the Stewardship Committee.

We hold in prayer community members and families as we mourn Rebecca Contois, Morgan Harris, Marcedes Myran, and Mashkode Bizhiki’ikwe and all Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women

We hold in prayer those who have been devastated by Hurricane Fiona, including the people in the Maritimes.

We hold in prayer Lorraine Antosh as she is in hospital.

We continue to hold the people of James Smith Cree Nation and the nearby village of Weldon, Saskatchewan in our prayers.

Here is an interesting article in the Free Press about Ken Paupanekis who taught us Cree last year: Making a present of the past – Winnipeg Free Press

Last chance to take a look at the Stars displayed on the wall in the Sanctuary and the Christmas Greetings from folks from away.

We are grateful to Sandi and Glen Fitzmaurice and Nancy and Terry DeLong for cashiering this Saturday.

Bible Study: Mondays at 7-8pm on Zoom – resumes January 9th at 7pm:  If you haven’t attended for a while or ever, perhaps your new year’s resolution might be to read and/or participate in this study for this year, this week, this season? Or reading the passages we’re using on that Sunday is helpful for you to hear/participate on the Sunday? Maybe you have a friend or family member who you’d like to introduce to our group who wants to think/reflect/understand better the scriptures? Maybe you’re feeling God’s nudge or call or whisper and your response is to say “yes” at this time? Wherever you are on your journey of faith, Monday Bible Study may be the place for you! please be in touch for the zoom link
