Outreach

Outreach is how we connect with people in our community and in the world.

We support:

Trinity Community Garden by providing 50 individual plots for low income and new Canadian families to grow their own produce and become part of the community.

Fort Richmond Collegiate students during exam periods by providing an Energy Boost Brunch and study space two days twice each year.

West Broadway Community Ministry, an outreach ministry of Winnipeg Presbytery which offers support, pastoral care, referral and advocacy for low income and marginalized residents. We provide food for their emergency food pantry, toiletries for use by clients, and volunteer help as requested.

Mission and Service Fund of the UCC which supports service and ministry across Canada and around the world. Trinity contributes generously to this fund. We promote this fund by including a Minute for Mission, a story from one of the ministries during our church service on aa monthly basis. www.united-church.ca/msfund (http://united-church.ca/msfund).

1JustCity, an umbrella group fundraising for Oak Table, St. Matthews-Maryland, Stella North End and West Broadway Community Ministries. We provide information to the congregation to support 1JustCity.

National and International projects through special fundraising events for the purpose of increasing awareness and giving financial support.

Dalhousie Elementary School breakfast program by donating cereal.

Trinity’s Mitten Tree which distributes mittens and hats to needy children in local schools.

Habitat for Humanity by supplying food for a coffee break for the crew participating in the Winnipeg Blitz Build each summer.

Local Food Bank by providing volunteer help.

Emergency assistance for individuals in need administered at the discretion of the ministers.

Special projects at Christmas which are determined on a year-to-year basis.
