Funerals

When someone we love dies, it’s often a time when our emotions are jumbled up. We must decide many things, sometimes in a matter of hours after a death, when often we’re in shock and our hearts are broken.  It’s not an easy time, but it can be a time when life becomes more meaningful.

Trinity United Church wants you to know we are open to all who require our support in dealing with the death of loved ones.  You are not alone as you navigate through this time. We will work with you to create a service that celebrates your loved one’s life with respect, and includes the important details that will make it personal and memorable. Music, mementos, video and spoken tributes can all be included; there are many different ways to celebrate a life!  If you are wondering about including something, please feel free to ask us and we will do our best to make it happen for you and your family.

If your loved one has recently died, please accept our condolences. You may call the church office or the minister (204-269-1632) to start planning the service.  Often it is a good thing to check with us about the availability of the minister and the church before you make plans with the funeral director.

If you are planning ahead, we encourage you to meet with the minister to work out all the details so the service will reflect your preferences.
