Trinity Services at 2 Personal Care Homes:

Trinity volunteers put on a half hour service once a month at both the St. Norbert and Waverley/Rosewood care homes.

Sadly, we missed doing our service at the St. Norbert home in February due to an illness outbreak there.  However, we were very pleased to have approximately 60 residents join us at the Feb. 14 service at the Waverley/Rosewood for the theme of “God’s Love”.  Regardless of the number, the residents of both homes always make us feel very welcome and very appreciated.

Our upcoming services at St. Norbert are: March 6, April 3, and May 1.  (first Wednesday of the month)

Our dates at the Waverley/Rosewood are: March 13, April 10, and May 8.  (second Wednesday of the month)

Services include hymn singing, scripture readings, short poems/readings, prayers, a short message, and end with a blessing.

Our team consists of Debbie Spindler, Maryann Koop, Barbara Tallman, Val McKay, Joann Sauve, Terry DeLong, and Nancy DeLong.  (not everyone is available every month).

If you would like to join us, that would be great!  Please contact Nancy or Terry at 204-254-3450.  Car-pooling can be arranged.  Thank you.

Needs at Trinity: With Elizabeth’s retirement, we are looking for volunteers to help us out with the ministry of Trinity. Please prayerfully consider these opportunities and be in touch with the person listed or the office (204 269 1632 tuc@mymts.net) We are grateful for every gift given and appreciate all you do for Trinity. Thank you for those of you who have already assumed some these responsibilities.

Thank you to Carl Shaykewich who has volunteered to look after small electronic recycling items (items that can be handled by one person). You can continue to bring smaller items to the church. If you have larger items to recycle, please call the church and we will try to get volunteers to help with that.

– We need someone to help us navigate hybrid meetings using Zoom and in person attendance.

– We need someone to record services on a Sunday morning

– We need someone to edit the videos once they have been recorded.

– We continue to need people to read scripture and pray for Sunday services

– And if you’d like to lead a service and/or deliver a message, please be in touch with the worship committee.

From Prairie to Pine Region: Please hold in prayer the following communities of faith: Carberry, Dryden First, Winnipeg – Broadway Disciples

Our thoughts and prayers will be with the community of Carman, the family and friends of Amanda Clearwater, children- Bethany, Jayven and Isabella Manoakeesick and Myah Gratton. Our prayers continue to be with the community of Carman, the people of Carman United Church, all those impacted by these tragic deaths, and those attempting to meet their needs. We pray for those impacted by the first-degree murder charges filed against the children’s father, Ryan Manoakeesick. We pray for the first responders, counsellors, mental health workers, and spiritual care providers during this difficult time.

We hold in prayer Marceline Ndayumvire in her healing journey.

We hold in prayer Val McKay and her mom, Anne.

Upon hearing the preliminary research findings on deaths and unmarked graves at the Alberni residential institution, The United Church of Canada, both regionally and nationally, hears the Tseshaht First Nation’s specific Calls for Truth and Justice directed to us, and commits to continued conversation with them about specific actions in response. Every Child Matters.
