Outreach is how Trinity connects with the people in our community and in the world.
We support:
Trinity Community Garden that provides 50 individual plots to newcomer and low income families in the area to grow their own produce and become part of the community.
West Broadway Community Ministry which offers support, pastoral care, referral and advocacy for low income and marginalized residents.
We deliver emergency food items that are collected on a regular basis in the grocery cart in the narthex.
Mission and Service Fund of the UCC that supports service and ministry across Canada and around the world. Trinity contributes generously to this fund.
We promote this fund by including a Minute for Mission reading, a story from one of the ministries, during our church service once a month
Habitat for Humanity by providing food for a coffee break for the crew participating in the Winnipeg Blitz Build each summer. .
Emergency assistance that is provided for individuals in need at the discretion of the minister.
Special projects at Christmas including the Mitten Tree. Mittens and hats are collected and distributed to local schools for needy children. Other suggestions are offered each Christmas season to enable people to offer support to various groups within the city .
National and international projects that are often highlighted through special fundraising events for the purpose of increasing awareness and giving financial support.
