“Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.” Colossians 3:14 (NRSV)
Worship: Sunday, June 7, 10:45 a.m. Communion
Video Workshop: Please stay after service on June 7 for this workshop. Harry, Lambert and Jackie will demonstrate the video and editing process of our Sunday Services.
An “ICE CREAM SUNDAE SUNDAY” will follow the service on June 14th. Come and enjoy ice cream with whatever your preference in available toppings, and fellowship. Beverages will also be available. Please sign up on the sheet in the narthex to give us an estimate of how much ice cream to buy.
VACATION DATES: Rev. Damber Khadka will be on vacation from June 15 to July 15, 2026. During this time, any pastoral concerns or urgent care needs may be directed to the church office during regular office hours or to the Caring Connections Team after hours. They will ensure that appropriate pastoral support is arranged as needed.
ATTENTION BASEBALL FANS!! Trinity’s Youth Group would like to invite all Trinity and GSA Members and their guests to the Goldeyes Game on Friday, June 19 at 7PM. We plan to have everyone meet at the Goldeyes Box Office no later than 6:30 that night to hand out the printed tickets. Trinity will pay for any youth, out of the interest generated by the Hamilton Memorial Fund, as that is who the Fund’s proceeds are designated to benefit. Each young person is allowed to invite one friend that will be paid for by Trinity. Each young person attending will be treated to a small beverage and small popcorn. Nancy and Terry DeLong will chaperone the Youth Group (Grade 6-12) and their friends. Parents and/or Grandparents are asked to accompany their children/grandchildren (Grade 5 and younger), but will have to pay for themselves as will Terry and Nancy. We are praying for good weather because there is nothing more relaxing than watching good baseball on a pleasant summery evening. If you have any questions, please contact Nancy or Terry at (204) 254-3450 or e-mail at terry_delong@hotmail.com by the evening of Thursday, June 11 so they can purchase and get tickets printed with everyone sitting all together, in advance, and arrange rides. We hope to see you all there. The more the better!! A Group of 10+ means each ticket only costs $15. Individual tickets normally cost $21.50. That’s a savings of $6.50 for the Fund per young person, and the same savings for any non-young person attending. With 10+ attending we get block seating together and a shout out to the “Trinity United Church Youth Group and Guests” on the scoreboard and from the Announcer!!
Outreach News Updated: This year Trinity will be offering support to 1JustCity for their major fundraising event, the Garden Tour, Tea, Craft and Bake Sale which will be held on June 20 at Norwood Community Centre from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please see the attached poster for more information. You will find a more detailed page regarding the expectations for the baking (ingredients, packaging, etc.). Please take a copy. The baking must be brought into the church office by Thursday, June 18 at noon. We will then deliver it to the appropriate location.
Summer Camp for Youth: Parents and guardians with youth in their families are encouraged to consider Neechi Camp, taking place July 2–6, 2026, in Fisher River, Manitoba. Spaces are still available. This unique camp offers young people an opportunity to learn from Indigenous Elders and community members through cultural teachings, hands-on experiences, and spiritual learning, while building friendships with youth from across the Prairie to Pine Region. If you have youth who may be interested, we encourage you to explore this meaningful summer opportunity. For more information or to express interest, please see the Prairie to Pine Regional Council information or contact Twila at 204-781-8124.
Summer Youth Events – please check the Youth Bulletin board for more information.
Are you passionate about music as a vehicle for worship? We are looking for more members to join our hymn selection team! With Damber, Tierney, and Christian, the team meets quarterly to choose Trinity’s service music for the upcoming 3 months. Service dates are divided into “assignments” to lighten the workload, with all putting forward suggestions for a monthly opening and offering hymn. We make our choices based on reference to weekly Scripture readings, over-arching themes of the season, and congregational preference – there are plenty of easily accessible resources available to to support you in the process! We meet on Zoom for roughly an hour, most often during weekday mornings. Meeting times can be scheduled based on member availability! If you are interested in joining us, or would like some more information, please reach out to Tierney choirdir.tuc@mymts.net tuc@mymts.net or the office. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Good Shepherd Anglican has confirmed clergy for our joint summer services. It is The Rev. John Giroux, Métis Anglican priest. He’ll be with us for the Summer. He’s very personable and will be enjoyed by both parishes.
