TUC Announcements for May 14, 2026

“Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.” Colossians 3:14 (NRSV)

Worship: Sunday May 17, 10:45 a.m.

YOUTH BOWLING: All Trinity and GSA Youth are invited to attend a free evening of 5 pin bowling this Friday May 15 starting at 6:30pm at the Dakota Lanes. Monies from the interest generated by the Hamilton Memorial Fund will be used to pay for each Youth and one friend each, as well as a small beverage and popcorn, since the Youth are the designated beneficiaries of the Fund. Parents and all Members of Trinity and GSA are welcome to attend at their own cost. Rides can be arranged. Parents and grand-parents of Youth that don’t attend Trinity, are asked to invite said Youth and let them know they are welcome to attend free of charge and to bring along one friend per Youth for free. Nancy and Terry DeLong will be chaperoning this event so please contact them  at (204) 254-3450 or terry_delong@hotmail.com by noon on Friday to let them know you plan to attend, to arrange a meeting place and rides. The cost for Terry and Nancy and any other non-youth will be $18.36  including tax and shoes for 1.5 hours of bowling. The bowling alley has automatic bumper pads for the gutters for inexperienced bowlers if they wish. Terry and Nancy are sorry for this last minute notification but they had trouble arranging this. They hope to arrange a Goldeyes  Baseball Game outing for the Youth Group and guests next month and plan to give more advanced notification. They hope to see you there.

ARMAGEDDON!! Perhaps you have heard about it on the news recently, or seen it on Facebook, or read about it in the Bible?  Nancy and Terry DeLong have been to Megiddo, in Israel, which is thought to be the future site of the climactic battle, and wish to invite the Trinity Youth Group to a presentation to be given downstairs on Sunday, May 17 starting at 10:45 during the regular Church Service. The Youth will hear about what was seen and learned. Because it might be a touchy subject to some, the parents of the Youth are invited to attend if they want to. Parents, please have your Youths go straight downstairs to the classroom behind the stage, on arrival, for a 10:45 start and please join them if you wish.

Are you passionate about music as a vehicle for worship? We are looking for more members to join our hymn selection team! With Damber, Tierney, and Christian, the team meets quarterly to choose Trinity’s service music for the upcoming 3 months. Service dates are divided into “assignments” to lighten the workload, with all putting forward suggestions for a monthly opening and offering hymn. We make our choices based on reference to weekly Scripture readings, over-arching themes of the season, and congregational preference – there are plenty of easily accessible resources available to to support you in the process! We meet on Zoom for roughly an hour, most often during weekday mornings. Meeting times can be scheduled based on member availability! If you are interested in joining us, or would like some more information, please reach out to Tierney ( choirdir.tuc@mymts.net ), or the office ( tuc@mymts.net ). We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Good Shepherd Anglican has confirmed clergy for our joint summer services. It is The Rev. John Giroux, Métis Anglican priest. He’ll be with us for the Summer. He’s very personable and I think will be enjoyed by both parishes.

The Fundraising Team is holding another soup sale this fall:  We would like to give people ample time to decide if they wish to make soups.
