We are grateful to Gerta de Jong, Marilyn Loat and Karen Wall for cashiering this Sunday.
*Richmond Garden Residents (2900 Pembina Hwy.) are again having their annual Christmas Dinner on Friday, December 5th at 5:00 p.m. They are asking for 5 volunteers from Trinity to help in serving this dinner. If you are interested or have any questions, please call Carolyn (204-261-7248).
*From Jo-Anne – Hello, It breaks my heart to have to write this letter, but I have no other choice. Milt and I have to move because of health issues and our cat cannot come with us as pets are only allowed visits. Quirk is a 12 year old spade female indoor cat, she is healthy and up to date on her shots , friendly and cuddly once she gets to know you. She is best in one cat home. I can be contacted at 204-269-3729, or at jmuldrew@mymts.net ( best early in the morning or after 3PM), or I am at the hospital visiting Milt. Thanks very much, Jo-Anne Muldrew.
Advent is Coming!
As we prepare our hearts for this special season, here are a few ways we can celebrate together:
Saturday, Nov 29 at 9:30 a.m. – Come lend a hand as we decorate the sanctuary for Advent. Many hands make light work – and we will supply the coffee and a treat!
Sunday, Nov 30 – We’ll gather with the Good Shepherd Anglican congregation at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and treats, followed by our joint service, “Destination Bethlehem,” at 10:00 a.m.
If you are able, please bring treats to share—cheese, scones, muffins, fruit, etc. There is a sign up list in the narthex.
Let’s journey toward Bethlehem together in hope and joy!
🎄Outreach Suggestions for Christmas Giving – 2025🎁
1. Trinity’s traditional mitten tree – Donations of mittens and hats are welcomed at our tree in the narthex. The schools tell us that there is more need for mittens!
2. Family Hampers – This year, we will be providing hampers for 2 needy families in our area. This will include food, household items and gifts. Please sign up at our table in the narthex on November 23, 30 or Dec. 6 . Donations must be in by December 14.
3. Giftswithvision.ca – The United Church catalogue has many good ideas for global gifts that can be purchased online. For example, a $50 food basket will be matched for$400 value. $100 will be matched for $900 value for girl power through nourishment, education and protection for girls around the world.
Thank you for considering these ideas as we plan our Christmas giving. 🎁
*The Stewardship Committee is looking for a Volunteer to perform the annual financial review, required primarily to satisfy requirements of CRA regarding our charitable status, but also for good due diligence. If you are interested, please contact the office at tuc@mymts.net

Congratulations to Lily Hemlow who was nominated for 3 Awards at the recent Manitoba Athletic Banquet and received Outstanding U16 Female Athlete Award and Outstanding Female Distance Runner Award. These are in spite of her not being able to compete in the Western Canada Team Challenge nor the Legion National Track Meet held in Calgary this summer due to an injury. These awards are based partially on her great performance the summer before last, and so has been ranked #1.

Trinity Walkers:
Walk to Bethlehem 👟👢👞🥿 From Maryann:
Where are you on our Walk to Bethlehem? Did you make it or are you somewhere along the way?
Back on September 19th the walk started with a Spirit led call similar to our ancestor Moses who led the Israelites to a unknown promised land. We are called to Bethlehem for the start of Advent November 30th.
It wasn’t a straight forward easy journey for our ancestors nor is it for us. For every hour of movement each participant or group moved forward one ribbon closer to Bethlehem as depicted in the sanctuary. Along the way we encountered some surprises.
The first Sunday, September 28th was straightforward, we moved ahead one ribbon for every hour of movement. Nothing untoward happened.
October 5th. We continued to move forward however a set back occurred because of complaints about a rocky path, rocks in our shoes, feet and legs that hurt and for the speedsters who made it to the middle third of our journey, they moved back an additional one because it was raining outside and stormy weather in Puerto Rico was creating rough waters over the ocean separating Canada from Europe.
On Thanksgiving Sunday, October 12th we continued forward as we are grateful for fall, the harvest, family and friends as we share the bounty that nourishes our bodies, also forward an additional one for performing a random act of kindness because of our beliefs.
October 19th. We grumble about food, taste, sameness, lack or over abundance and we complain about the lack of services for the helpless, homeless and those with special needs.
October 26th. For those on the ocean the wind was at our back and pushed us forward one, however if you were in Europe it was back one as you didn’t have the right papers and also another one as you didn’t speak another language. If you did, you got a bonus, forward one.
November 2nd. Back one as we questioned if this is really where we are suppose to be. Also back one if one felt like you are a lone wolf. Then, forward one for helping someone unexpectedly and back one for complaining about the time change.
November 9th, our Remembrance Day. We are deeply grieving, remembering the loss of our ancestors and the effects of war including the struggle to survive, hence moved back 2, but since we refuse to live in the past we move forward one.
Last Sunday, November 16th, if you who made it to Bethlehem, there are questions, like what now? Do I go back? Or, Is someone calling for help? These questions cause us to go back one. For those on the way, who look forward and ask for help they move 2 forward.
November 23rd, the last Sunday before Advent. What is the Spirit calling you to do? Sing, dance, feast, pray or something else entirely like making a donation to M&S. Think about it? What is the spirit calling you to do this upcoming Advent season.
Electronics Recycling – Bring your small electronics for recycling – recycle items that fit into the blue box in the narthex.
Opportunities to serve: There are many volunteer opportunities in the ministry at Trinity. If you are able to offer the gift of time, please let us know. There are opportunities, to serve on committees, to help with one time special events, help serve at funeral lunches and fellowship coffee, to help with technology, read scripture, offer prayers, sing in the choir, to work at bombers games, help with Sunday School and Youth, etc. Please prayerfully consider these opportunities and be in touch with the office (204 269 1632) tuc@mymts.net. We are grateful for every gift given and appreciate all you do for Trinity. See sign up sheets in the narthex for scripture reading, prayers of the people, ushers and greeters.
