The Outreach Committee will be hosting this week’s Sunday Service (Sept. 21), celebrating Orange Shirt Day (a week early) with a special guest speaker – Dr. Myra Laramee. Dr. Laramee has provided guidance to the Winnipeg School Division and the Province of Manitoba through the years as an educator, mentor, cultural teacher and through several guiding documents on topics ranging from Reconciliation to Indigenous languages and incorporating Indigenous perspectives.
Bannock and tea will be served following the service with a chance for you to visit with Dr. Laramee.
Rev. Damber Khadka will be leading worship in Crystal City as part of a minister pulpit exchange.
We are grateful to Edgar Rosales and Gerta de Jong for cashiering this Sunday.

In our Prayers
Prayer For the People of Nepal: We lift up in prayer the people of Nepal, especially as the nation grieves the tragic loss of 72 young lives—ranging in age from 13 to 28—during what was meant to be a peaceful demonstration. These young voices were calling for an end to corruption and seeking the restoration of freedom, including the lifting of the social media ban.
We pray for comfort and healing for the grieving families, peace for the nation, and wisdom for its leaders. May justice, freedom, and unity prevail, and may the people of Nepal know hope in the midst of sorrow.
Lord, in Your mercy—hear our prayer.
We pray for those facing health challenges:
We pray for Victor Bryll who is in hospital dealing with health issues.
We pray for Bernice Gregory who is dealing with health issues.
We pray for Connie Fillion who is recovering at home as she deals with health issues.
We continue to pray for Damber’s family – Sumi as she continues her recovery following cancer treatment, for Sumi’s three nieces Ameera, Anupaa, and Anuka in the camp in Nepal and for Damber’s mother, Dhan Khadka as she faces health issues. Damber and Sumi are grateful for the prayers and support of the congregation.

From Maryann: Trinity Walkers
WHY DO I WALK?
This question for me has many answers.
Walking improves my mental health just as much as my physical health. It can be done anywhere without any special equipment, indoors or out.
Every step counts and is considered low intensity yet builds stronger bones and helps keep joints flexible When walking, I enjoy outdoor walks more, the changes in the air
from inside to out and the exposure to nature can grab my attention. Walking also can improve memory, concentration and reduce stress.
At times indoor walks are the way to go if one wants to avoid allergens and the miserable weather outside.
No matter, outdoors or in, when one walks with another person it is easier to develop and maintain a walking routine and build a friendship along the way.
If you want to learn more or find a walking partner contact me.
Electronics Recycling – Bring your small electronics for recycling – recycle items that fit into the blue box in the narthex.
Opportunities to serve: There are many volunteer opportunities in the ministry at Trinity. If you are able to offer the gift of time, please let us know. There are opportunities, to serve on committees, to help with one time special events, help serve at funeral lunches and fellowship coffee, to help with technology, read scripture, offer prayers, sing in the choir, to work at bombers games, help with Sunday School and Youth, etc. Please prayerfully consider these opportunities and be in touch with the office (204 269 1632) tuc@mymts.net. We are grateful for every gift given and appreciate all you do for Trinity. See sign up sheets in the narthex for scripture reading, prayers of the people, ushers and greeters.
