Announcements July 3, 2025

“Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.” Colossians 3:14 (NRSV)

Sunday, July 6, 2025 – Worship starts at 9:30 a.m.  – joint service with GSA with TUC leading the service. Rev. Jeff Cook will be doing the reflection.

Rev. Damber Khadka is on vacation until July 12, 2025.

Scripture to ponder will return following Damber’s vacation.

We are grateful to Debbie Spindler and Mike Cudjoe for cashiering this Sunday.

Our joint services with The Church of the Good Shepherd Anglican (GSA) begin at 9:30 a.m. as follows:

July 13; July 27; August 10; August 24 – GSA
July 6; July 20; August 3; August 17; August 31 – TUC

**On July 13, GSA invites all of us to join them for worship as this will be Priest Jennifer Sisson’s last Sunday as she retires. We are all invited to join GSA for a farewell lunch for Jennifer following worship.

*Construction of the main floor washrooms has begun. Until further notice, the downstairs washrooms are the only ones available for use. Please note that during construction there may be times when staff work from home. If you don’t have a key and need to access the church during regular office hours (Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  please call the church to make sure the church is open.)

In our Prayers:

We pray for all who are being impacted by the wildfires here in our province and beyond, especially for anyone who will be rebuilding what was lost.

We pray for Connie Fillion who is in hospital dealing with health issues.

We pray for Bill Munro as he deals with health issues.

We pray for Ellen Johnson who is dealing with health issues, and for her family who are supporting Ellen.

We pray for Bernice Gregory who is dealing with health issues.

We pray for Sumi as she continues her recovery following cancer treatment. We pray for Sumi’s three nieces Ameera, Anupaa, and Anuka in the camp in Nepal as they need support for their security and protection.  We pray too for Damber’s mother,  Dhan Khadka as she faces serious health issues. Damber and Sumi are grateful for the prayers and support of the congregation.

We pray for Priest Jennifer Sisson, Good Shepherd Anglican (GSA) and her family as her husband Bishop Geoff Woodcroft faces health issues.

Congratulations to Lily Hemlow for receiving the Top Grade 9 Female Athlete of the Year Award at Vincent Massey Highschool. She also maintained a 95% average in 10 subjects. Given that her Highschool is a fairly large, sports-minded, facility that strives for Academic and Athletic excellence, makes this achievement even more special.

From Prairie to Pine Region:

Please hold in prayer the following communities of faith: Hamiota, Roblin (Roblin, Tummel),  McCreary

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with evacuees from wildfires across the Regional Council area as the state of emergency has been lifted in the province of Manitoba, and many returned to their home communities. We continue to pray for those involved in emergency response, including the firefighters, as the wildfire season continues.

From Outreach- Grocery Cart Donations:

*Please be aware that West Broadway Ministry is no longer providing meals to their guests.  They do provide a take and go bag lunch.  For that purpose, they only need sandwich fixings (canned meat, tuna, peanut butter, etc,) granola bars, and fruit cups. Please adjust your donations in the grocery cart accordingly.  Thank you!
