On Sunday, October 6, 2024 we will be observing World Wide Communion at our 10:45 a.m. service.

Everyone is welcome to join us after the service for a discussion about how to proceed with The Big Question

Scripture to Ponder & Prayer

Dear Friends,

This coming Sunday, as we celebrate World Communion Sunday, we will join with faith communities around the globe, breaking bread together as one body in Christ. This beautiful occasion reminds us of our unity in the Spirit, transcending our individual denominations and backgrounds. I invite you to ponder the scripture passage from Hebrews 1:1–4; 2:5–12.

Reflection Questions

·        How does the suffering of Christ resonate with your own experiences of pain and challenges? How can this bring hope?

·        In what ways can you actively contribute to the unity and support of the body of Christ in your community?

·        Take a moment to consider how you can engage with fellow believers across different cultures and traditions. What steps can you take to foster deeper connections?

·        Reflect on a time when you felt a profound sense of unity with others in your faith. What were the circumstances, and how did it affect your spiritual journey?

Prayer

Loving God, as we approach World Communion Sunday, we thank You for the gift of unity through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to see beyond our differences and recognize the sacred bond we share as members of Your family. May we honor You in our relationships and strive to embody Your love and grace in our communities. Guide us in our reflections on Your Word, and may the truths we discover strengthen our faith and our commitment to one another. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Let’s come together this Sunday in gratitude and unity, celebrating the rich diversity of our faith.

Looking forward to sharing this sacred moment with all of you!
