Worship for Sunday October 15, 2023

**Please note: the city is repairing and repaving Summerside Ave and it may be closed when you come.

Please enter the church parking lot from Mapleridge Ave for the next couple of weeks**

This Sunday, October 15th, 10:45am, in person and online, World Food Sunday. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/ALANFTxPF1I

Sermon by phone: 204 410 1384

Thanksgiving Sunday is a time when we are grateful for many things: family, friends, homes and food on our tables to name a few. To share our gratitude  we are collecting items for West Broadway Community Ministry and Camp Morgan at the Brady Landfill.

Camp Morgan: because of the changing nature of the weather, Outreach folks will purchase what they need; also donations of wood are needed for the sacred fire and keeping warm; money can be dropped into the Camp Morgan jar (the one with the heart stickers all over it!)

West Broadway: fruit cups, canned tuna, salmon, or meat, cereal and oatmeal; men’s and women’s warm socks and long underwear

Everything can be dropped off and/or placed on the sanctuary stairs until Sunday October 15th

Picture directory: we are grateful for all from Trinity and Good Shepherd who made time and came to have their picture taken; we have over 75 families included in the directory so far! If you’d like to have your picture taken, please be in touch with the church office (204 269 1632) and we’ll put you in touch with another church who has spots open. We are grateful to those amazing folks who organized us: Carolyn, Susan, Elaine, Maryann, Ruth, Debbie, Marilyn, Margaret and Carl – what a team effort! What a wonderful way to celebrate our churches!

October 22nd: Sunday School Sunday: all our young people and their parents will gather in the lower hall to begin our Sunday School season. Tracy and Angela will lead them through this important time.

Save the date SundayOctober 22 following worship

With Rev. Elizabeth Brown’s retirement at year end, the United Church of Canada and the Prairie to Pine Region, requires that we create a Trinity Church Profile team and complete several things as part of the process. A “Church Profile Team ” has been formed consisting of Charles Powell, Nancy DeLong, Barb Tallman, Ross Tallman and Dale Kendel (acting as chair). The purpose of the team is to create a Faith Profile for Trinity United Church that expresses the needs, the wants and the wishes of Trinity. This is Step #1, before the search and hiring process for a new Minister can occur.

Step#2: a Congregational Consultation will be held on Sunday October 22 after our regular service. Lunch will be provided, thanks to the Fellowship Committee.  We will be finished by 1:30. Stay tuned for more details, but please plan to attend.

SAVE THE DATE! Saturday November 25th, 7pm – Praise and Worship Service at Trinity!
