Photo directory:

Have you heard an announcement regarding someone from Trinity or Good Shepherd congregations and can’t put a face to the name?

We are having Canada Photo Services produce a pictorial directory in order to help us re-acquaint ourselves with one another and strengthen the bond of our faith communities.

Portraits will be taken October 4, 5, 6, & 7th here at the church.  You will be able to view the portrait at the same time.  Everyone will receive a free directory for participating and have an opportunity to purchase a studio quality portrait if you wish but there is no obligation to purchase.

You can sign up for an appointment before and after services on Sunday, Sept. 10th, 17th or 24th or give Kathy a call in the office (204 269-1632).

Our directory will not be complete without You.

NATIONAL CHURCH LEADERS: ACTION IN SUPPORT OF THE VOICES AT CAMP MARCEDES AND CAMP MORGAN

A red dress on a red background, and the text #SearchtheLandfill

At 4:00 PM on Tuesday September 5, leaders of four major church denominations will be at Camp Morgan just outside the Brady landfill in Winnipeg. They will urge provincial political leaders to give the go-ahead to search the Prairie Green Landfill for the remains of two missing Indigenous women, Morgan Harris and Marcedes Myran.
The Right Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdowne, Moderator of the United Church, The Rev. Mary Fontaine, Moderator of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, The Rev. Susan Johnson, National Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, The Most Rev. Chris Harper, National Indigenous Anglican Bishop, and The Rev. Canon Dr. Murray Still, Co-Chair of the Anglican Council of Indigenous Peoples, will visit Camp Morgan in solidarity with those calling for justice and an end to the violence against Indigenous women, children, and Two-Spirit people. You are invited to join in prayer at that time, and to join in person if you can, to bear witness, to support the families and communities, and to continue our truth and reconciliation responsibilities. Wear No More MMIWG2S shirts or September 30 orange shirts if you wish. Any updates will be posted here.   Please see the Prairie to Pine Regional Council website for details:www.prairietopinerc.ca

We hold in prayer the family and friends of Lorraine Antosh who died last week. A private family service will be held.

We hold in prayer Val McKay and her mom, Anne.

We hold in prayer Ethel and their family on the death of Paul Campbell. The link for the recorded service: https://youtu.be/q-ulo53fmEE

We hold in prayer Susan and Doug Delaney’s family members Darryl and Diane Knight as they move through health struggles. They are grateful for all our prayers.

We hold in prayer community members and families as we mourn Rebecca Contois, Morgan Harris, Marcedes Myran, and Mashkode Bizhiki’ikwe and all Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women

We continue to hold the people of James Smith Cree Nation and the nearby village of Weldon, Saskatchewan in our prayers.

Upon hearing the preliminary research findings on deaths and unmarked graves at the Alberni residential institution, The United Church of Canada, both regionally and nationally, hears the Tseshaht First Nation’s specific Calls for Truth and Justice directed to us, and commits to continued conversation with them about specific actions in response. Every Child Matters.
