Moment for Tuesday January 10, 2023

Here is the link for the moment: https://youtu.be/UjFLfuXPmik

Gerta de Jong is stepping down from her role as treasurer and bookkeeper for Trinity United Church.  We express our appreciation for her years of service in this critical position.  We have been blessed with her gifts and her commitment to Trinity United for these years. The situation, therefore, arises for us to look for another person to fill these very important shoes. The role works primarily with, and is supported by, the Stewardship Committee and the Board of Trinity United. We have a complete list of duties, for anyone interested in making an inquiry about what the position entails. If you would consider supporting Trinity by providing bookkeeper and treasurer services, or if you have a suggestion as to who might be able to do this, please contact the church office. They will put you in touch with Steve Teller, the representative from the Stewardship Committee.

It’s almost time for the Annual Report! please have your reports in to the office by February 1st.

We hold in prayer community members and families as we mourn Rebecca Contois, Morgan Harris, Marcedes Myran, and Mashkode Bizhiki’ikwe and all Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women

We hold in prayer those who have been devastated by Hurricane Fiona, including the people in the Maritimes.

We hold in prayer Lorraine Antosh as she is in hospital.

We continue to hold the people of James Smith Cree Nation and the nearby village of Weldon, Saskatchewan in our prayers.

Thank you to all who contributed to our “Stars” this year! And to all who stayed after worship to help put away the Christmas decorations

Thank you to all who gave an extra “Christmas Gift” and to all who have given gifts to Trinity this year.

The Stewardship Committee reminds you that the office will be sending out the tax receipts shortly.

We are grateful to Edgar Rosales and Maryann Koop for cashiering this Sunday.

Scriptures for Sunday; Isaiah 49:1-7; Psalm 40:1-11; I Corinthians 1:1-9; John 1:29-42

PrayerGod help us to stay engaged and curious so that we may serve to our fullest with your guidance. Amen
