Worship for Sunday October 16, 2022

The link for Worship for Sunday October 16, 2022 will be sent out on Sunday afternoon. We are recording the message from Gordon Janzen, the representative from Canadian Foodgrains Bank, during the in person worship service to add to the recording of the rest of the service. Please watch your emails for this link Sunday afternoon.

Sermon by phone will be updated Sunday afternoon.

The Outreach Committee extends a heartfelt thanks to so many of you who generously donated warm winter clothing and toiletries to our recent drive for Main Street Project and Koats for Kids for young Ukrainian children. The response, as always, was truly overwhelming. Many people will be able to embrace Manitoba’s cold winter because of your generosity. Thank you.

We hold in prayer those who have been devastated by Hurricane Fiona, including the people in the Maritimes.

We hold in prayer Lorraine Antosh as she is in hospital.

We continue to hold the people of James Smith Cree Nation and the nearby village of Weldon, Saskatchewan in our prayers.

Irma Nadeau will be on holidays for the week of October 14-21st.

Did you notice the quilts hanging in the sanctuary this Sunday? Here’s where they are going:

Northern Beginnings was organized by Cst. Kelly McQuade to support Nunavut infants, children, and new moms in need by giving them essentials, as supplies are very limited and expensive in the north. When Kelly was transferred out of Nunavut, she approached One Plane Away (OPA) to continue her work. OPA gathers and distributes baby clothes and supplies for babies up to 2 years and in the first 8 months of 2022, 600 baby boxes were delivered. The Sew and Sews are contributing their baby quilts and other items to this organization.

We are grateful to Jackie and Dennis Snarr and Edgar Rosales for cashiering this Sunday.
