Moment for Trinity – Tuesday March 29, 2022

Here is the video for the Trinity moment for this week: https://youtu.be/LzgqE0B6Rq4

We have in person worship every Sunday at 10:45am; please bring your QR code and wear a mask. Recorded worship and Sermon by phone will continue as normal and all services will be the same. Call up your friends and let them know! Full details of the new guidelines are at the end of this email.

We hold in our prayers the people of the Ukraine and other Eastern European countries as they face the invasion of their country by Russia. If you’d like to donate through the United Church, please go to this page: https://united-church.ca/social-action/act-now/conflict-ukraine  for information about what they are doing and how to donate.

Canada Foodgrains Bank is also accepting donations at: https://foodgrainsbank.ca/donate/ukraine/?segmentCode=HCUKRAINEEMAILA21&utm_source=Canadian+Foodgrains+Bank&utm_campaign=9df28eda07-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2022_03_01_03_50&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_12074062ea-9df28eda07-443062816  Thank you.

Trinity has sent a letter of support to local Ukrainian churches reminding them we are with them and praying for the people of Ukraine.
The video attached was sent to me by a few people and we hope you find it touches your spirit too.

FAQ about Sabbaticals: Who will be visiting folks in the hospital (when allowed) while Elizabeth is away on sabbatical? The Sabbatical Advisory Group (SAG) and the Board are in the process of hiring a Minister to work 10 hours a week who will visit anyone that is in the hospital or at home while Elizabeth is away.

Scripture to ponder for the week: Isaiah 43:18-19: Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Scripture for April 3, 2022: Isaiah 43:16-21; Psalm 126; Philippians 3:4b-14; John 12:1-8

The story of Mary anointing Jesus provokes some interesting questions … and responses from Jesus.
