We are celebrating communion this Sunday on World Communion Sunday; please bring a candle, a piece of bread (or cracker or something to eat), and a cup of juice (or water) to worship. This is a recorded worship this week.
We hold Marion and Don Schultz in our prayers on the death of Marion’s son, Grant.
We continue to hold Bev and Bernie Wiens and their family in our prayers as Bev has chemo.
We pray for the people of Good Shepherd Anglican Church and their priest Jennifer as they begin in person, indoor worship this week.
On September 30, people all across Canada will wear orange shirts to remember and honour Indigenous children who were taken from their communities and families to residential schools. This Orange Shirt Day is also the first observance of a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. For settler Christians in particular, this is a time when we can reflect on our role in colonialism and the residential school system, and our ongoing responsibility to make reparations. Indigenous Children Then, Now, and Tomorrow: Online Panel, September 29 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. CST
Indigenous Ministries and Justice is hosting an Orange Shirt Day panel with Allison Forsberg, Jocelyn Formsma, Leeann Shimoda, and the Rev. Murray Pruden. They will explore how Indigenous children and families were and continue to be impacted by colonialism. They will touch on a range of topics including Indigenous Children in Residential Schools, Sixties Scoop, Millennial Scoop, and bringing our children home. Orange Shirt Day vigil, September 30, 3:00PM in MB and SK
Executive Minister Murray Pruden will be hosting a candle light vigil to honour the children who never made it home from Residential Schools and survivors. Please join us for an evening of remembering and please bring a candle or a light. A reminder that we continue to collect fruit, granola bars and juice boxes that are delivered to West Broadway Community Ministry. The cart is outside for donations Sunday to Friday mornings from 9-1pm. Call the church at 204-269-1632 to arrange alternate times to drop off donations.

Following a meeting on September 8th, the Board prayerfully decided to begin in person, indoor service at Trinity on September 12, 2021. This motion was passed:
In-person, indoor worship must ensure: Contact tracing information gathered; COVID screening questions asked; Mandatory masking; Hand sanitizer use; Social distancing between families and individuals; No singing during service; Main floor sanitized following service;
For the safety and health of all people attending in-person indoor worship at Trinity United Church, Trinity United Church strongly advises that everyone attending in-person indoor worship be fully vaccinated. We cannot guarantee you will not contract COVID while attending worship.
If you are unable to attend in-person indoor worship, Trinity United Church continues to offer weekly You tube services; Sunday School kits for at-home Sunday School; monthly Zoom gatherings for senior Sunday School/Youth Group, as well as weekly/monthly programs such as walking group, Yoga and Bible Study.
IMPORTANT PROVISO: The above Motion must be in full compliance with current and future provincial Public Health Orders.
According to the current Manitoba Public Health Orders we can have 150 people on the main floor. Volunteers will be available to help you at 10:15 am (asking COVID questions, contact tracing, hand sanitizing, ushering, etc.). Check out our great new carpeting in the Sanctuary.
