To remember “Red Dress Day” on May 5th, members of the Outreach Committee hung red articles on the trees in the front of the church.

The second picture was taken Thursday, May 6, from the office desk to the front door! A duck seemingly reading the signs and then staring in “when can I come in for live worship?”

Here is a message from Rev. Paul Campbell and Harry Johnson: https://youtu.be/1_evE-Tunl
Harry writes about the conversation with Rev. Paul this way “The video today consists of a conversation between Reverend Paul Campbell and Harry Johnson in King’s Park. Paul came to the discussion with the verses of Matthew 10: 28–29 in his mind. Harry had in mind the theme from the United Church Creed: “We live in God’s World, we are not alone”. This discussion was made with all the sounds of the nature and the bustle of the park visitors around.
Paul’s story about his experience in Regina carries a strong metaphor for us in our period of COVID distress. God’s caring is broadly distributed and as the hymn that we learned in Sunday School says: “If God so loves the little birds, I know He loves me too”. We ask you to take comfort from this theme, wherever you may be. Whether you view the little birds only through your window or while walking in one of the lovely city parks, the metaphor of caring goes with you.”
Elizabeth is away on Study Leave May 10-17th. Please call Rev. Paul Campbell for any pastoral emergencies (204 805 6627).
Have you wondered how worship services at Trinity are produced? Would you like to learn how to record services for Trinity? We are looking for volunteers who would like to learn how to record using the new video camera, sometimes edit the recording, and upload the recording to youtube. Although it sounds difficult, with a few lessons, you can master the fine art of this important part of our online worship experience! Please be in touch with Elizabeth if you’d like to explore this opportunity. We are looking for someone to help out with the payroll duties for Trinity. Everything is now online and tasks are twice a month. Please be in touch with Gerta or the office if you would like to help out or know someone who has these skills or might want to learn.

Because of the Provincial Health order moving Manitoba to “Red” and closing all religious buildings, the Executive has postponed in person, indoor worship, and closed the building to all user and church groups; staff will be in for specific tasks but mainly working from home; our non-essential building is limited to 5 people for specific tasks.
