Moment from Trinity for Tuesday April 6, 2021

Here is the short video from Elizabeth to accompany this message:

You may have heard the latest provincial health orders about changing number of people for regular Sunday worship. A letter was sent last week to the congregation from the Board co-chairs, Barb Poustie and Terry DeLong.

Have you wondered how worship services at Trinity are produced? Would you like to learn how to record services for Trinity? We are looking for volunteers who would like to learn how to record using the new video camera, sometimes edit the recording, and upload the recording to youtube. Although it sounds difficult, with a few lessons, you can master the fine art of this important part of our online worship experience! Please be in touch with Elizabeth if you’d like to explore this opportunity.

Here are the readings for this Sunday April 11, 2021 and the one we’re focusing on are in bold: Acts 4:32-35; Psalm 133; 1 John 1:1-2:2; John 20:19-31

Sermon by Phone: listen to the recording of Sunday worship each week by calling a local phone number (204 410 1384); please share this information with your friends who don’t have internet access; the recording is uploaded each week on Thursday and will be available until the following Wednesday

Scripture: Isaiah 25: You, Lord, are my God! I will praise you for doing the wonderful things you had planned and promised since ancient times. You have been a place of safety for the poor and needy in times of trouble. Brutal enemies pounded us like a heavy rain or the heat of the sun at noon, but you were our shelter. On this mountain the Lord All-Powerful will prepare for all nations a feast of the finest foods. Choice wines and the best meats  will be served. Here the Lord will strip away the burial clothes that cover the nations. The Lord All-Powerful will destroy the power of death and wipe away all tears..

Prayer: Loving God, as we celebrate the risen Christ in our world, may we share your love with all we meet. As Easter people, may we know your spirit alive in the world!  Amen.

May blessing, peace and the knowledge that we are not alone on this journey; may God be a part of our week as we wander through our challenging days and evenings, knowing the spirit of God is part of all our experiences! May we all remember God in a way that keeps us going and be strong and be kind, loving and compassionate.

Please note: because of the Provincial Health order, the Executive decided to continue to postpone in person, indoor worship, and close the building to all user and church groups; staff will be in for specific tasks but mainly working from home; all home visits are postponed until further notice. Be safe and be well.
