You may have heard the latest provincial health orders about changing number of people for regular Sunday worship. A letter was sent yesterday to the congregation from the co-chairs, Barb Poustie and Terry DeLong.
Holy Week and Easter Services:
Good Friday, April 2nd, we join with the whole United Church of Canada for a recorded service led by the Moderator, the Right Rev. Richard Bott; Please join us for “From the Table to the Cross,” a Good Friday service with Moderator Richard Bott and members of the General Council Executive. We will gather online to remember stories of Jesus’ final hour and sing and pray together. If you are able, please bring a glass of water, a flower, and a candle to help to set the table that reaches far beyond our own walls and screens. Available for streaming starting at 8:30 a.m. Winnipeg time, April 2 on YouTube: youtube.com/unitedchurchofcanada . We will send out the link in an email early on Friday morning.
Easter Sunday, April 4th, we celebrate communion and the risen Christ in song, story, drama and reflection by recording our service in our usual way! We are celebrating communion so bring a piece of bread (bun, cracker, cookie, or ??) and something to drink (grape, orange, apple juice or water) and candle to the service.
Have you wondered how these services are produced? Would you like to learn how to record services for Trinity? We are looking for volunteers who would like to learn how to record using the new video camera, sometimes edit the recording, and upload the recording to youtube. Although it sounds difficult, with a few lessons, you can master the fine art of this important part of our online worship experience! Please be in touch with Elizabeth if you’d like to explore this opportunity.

Scripture: Philippians 2:1-3: Christ encourages you, and his love comforts you. God’s Spirit unites you, and you are concerned for others. Now make me completely happy! Live in harmony by showing love for each other. Be united in what you think, as if you were only one person. Don’t be jealous or proud, but be humble and consider others more important than yourselves. Care about them as much as you care about yourselves and think the same way that Christ Jesus thought.
Prayer: Creating God, as the seasons change around us, we are grateful for your spirit with us. We hold you close, in our pocket or heart, and we can be courageous people of God in the world. Amen.
May blessing, peace and the knowledge that we are not alone on this journey; may God be a part of our week as we wander through our challenging days and evenings, knowing the spirit of God is part of all our experiences! May we all remember God in a way that keeps us going and be strong and be kind, loving and compassionate.

Please note: because of the Provincial Health order, the Executive decided to continue to postpone in person, indoor worship, and close the building to all user and church groups; staff will be in for specific tasks but mainly working from home; all home visits are postponed until further notice. Be safe and be well.
