This Sunday, March 7th, we are celebrating communion. Bring a candle, a piece of bread (cracker, bun, something to eat) and something to drink (grape, orange, apple juice or water) and celebrate with us.
We received the sad news this week that Robinson Mulundu died February 25 in Zambia. We hold Phillis and their families in our prayers. A zoom service to celebrate Robinson’s life was held on Saturday February 27th and I attended on behalf of Trinity. It was put together by his family. There were so many pictures of Robinson at so many important/everyday events, we believe he was the “Bernie Sanders” before Bernie Sanders!
Also, be sure to check out the article about Phillis and Mwaka (her daughter) in Monday’s Free Press; who knew Phillis would run a marathon? What a great inspiration for all of us!
Here are the readings for this Sunday March 7, 2021 and the one we’re focusing on are in bold: Exodus 20:1-17; Psalm 19; 1 Corinthians 1:18-25; John 2:13-22
We are planning Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter services and need “voices” for the worship service as readers; if you’d like to add your voice to the worship service, please be in touch with Irma or Elizabeth; if you’ve never done this before, we can help walk you through the process.
Action Auction starts on Saturday March 6th at 12 noon! Watch for the email tomorrow with details about registration and bidding along with the catalogue of everything on offer! Questions? Call Dale Kendel
We are looking for a few volunteers to help us pack up the smaller items in the sanctuary and office so the larger items (book shelves, etc) can be moved by the carpet people. If you have an hour or two from now until March 12th and would like to help out, please be in touch with the office (204 269 1632) or Irma or Elizabeth. If you have some boxes to loan us (we really would give them back!), we could use a few more. We will keep all distancing, sanitizing and contact tracing protocols in place to keep you safe. Thank you!
March 5, 2021 is the World Day of Prayer. Every year a different church hosts this event. This year Fort Garry Mennonite Fellowship is the host for Fort Garry churches. As meeting in person is not possible this year, a video recording has been made available so that you can participate from wherever you are. For many years Elaine Hansen and Connie Fillion have represented TUC as planners for this event. We thank them for their years of dedication to this important day with the hope that next year we will be able to meet in person once again. An email with more information about this event will be going out on Friday. To view the World Day of Prayer service click here
Sermon by Phone: listen to the recording of Sunday worship each week by calling a local phone number (204 410 1384); please share this information with your friends who don’t have internet access; the recording is uploaded each week on Thursday and will be available until the following Wednesday

Scripture for the day: (Psalm 23) “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.”Prayer: Holy one, we look around and are amazed by your creation – including us! Enable us to be aware of this great world and all you offer us. Amen.
May blessing, peace and the knowledge that we are not alone on this journey; may God be a part of our week as we wander through our challenging days and evenings, knowing the spirit of God is part of all our experiences! May we all remember God in a way that keeps us going and be strong and be kind, loving and compassionate.

Please note: because of the Provincial Health order, the Executive decided to continue to postpone in person, indoor worship, and close the building to all user and church groups; staff will be in for specific tasks but mainly working from home; all home visits are postponed until further notice. Be safe and be well.
