The Annual Meeting of Trinity United Church, Winnipeg has been called for Sunday February 21, 2021 at 10am on Zoom. You can join by the internet or by phone. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the 2020 financial statements and other reports, approve the 2021 budget, and to approve the funding of the carpet, chairs and vacuum project and conduct any business brought before it. The Annual Report was sent out on February 8th by email and mail. The link for the meeting is below. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend this meeting; if you need help with Zoom, please be in touch with Elizabeth or Irma or the church office and we’d be happy to assist you. On Saturday February 20 at 11am, we will have a “Practice Annual Meeting” for anyone who wants to feel a bit more comfortable on Zoom; we’ll raise our hands, answer questions, and vote on motions as well as check connections, cameras, microphones, mute/unmute ourselves so everyone will know what to do on Sunday.

The season of Lent is coming up quickly and we are looking for families to record the Lenten Candle lighting from their homes. It will be very similar to Advent Candle lighting. If you’d like to take part, please be in touch with Elizabeth or Irma. If you’ve not recorded before, we can help you learn this new skill! Any number of voices can take part (2 to ??) and any age.
The Christian Education Committee is offering a book study during Lent. We’re reading “The Other Side of the River” by Alf Dumont. If you’d like to order the book, please be in touch with Elizabeth by February 21st as we’ll order copies and save on shipping fees. More details to follow.

Because of the Provincial Health order moving Manitoba to “Red” and closing all religious buildings, the Executive has postponed in person, indoor worship, and closed the building to all user and church groups; staff will be in for specific tasks but mainly working from home; our non-essential building is limited to 5 people for specific tasks.
