A prayer message from the Moderator:
If I cannot sing with others, my God, in the caution we need during this pandemic, then help me to sing the hymns and the songs that celebrate your presence, that are prayer and praise and lament, hymns and choruses, with words or without, by myself. And, when I am with others… well… help me to move (yes!) help me to feel the music shared by the musicians deep in my body, and, help me (oh, help me!) to move to the rhythm (even if it’s only my eyes or my fingers) help me to tap my toes, or shuffle my feet, or shake my… hands, and move myself, in the Rhythm that is You. Let our dance be our song, let our movements be melody, harmony, or cacophony, in praise and celebration. Let us make a joyful movement unto our God! Oh, help me to dance, my God! (created by the Moderator, Rev Richard Bott. Used with permission)
Harry took this picture on his walk one day. Do you know where it is?

Sometimes, we hear familiar scriptures and think we know all about it because we’ve read it before; it’s when we think deeply from our new perspective, that we discover something new, something we didn’t notice before; something we hear or read in a new light. It is then that it feels as though God is whispering in our ears, “listen to my story” and we make a connection.
Scripture for the day: (Matthew 23:11-12) “Do you want to stand out? Then step down. Be a servant. If you puff yourself up, you’ll get the wind knocked out of you. But if you’re content to simply be yourself, your life will count for plenty.”
Prayer for the week: Loving God, thank you for creating me with all the gifts and talents that make me, me! thank you for creating others in their own way that may be different than me but a unique part of creation. Enable us to find ways of sharing our whole beings, knowing you have created us. Be with us on our journey, Amen.
May blessing, peace and the knowledge that we are not alone on this journey; may God be a part of our week as we wander through our challenging days and evenings, knowing the spirit of God is part of all our experiences! May we all remember God in a way that keeps us going and be strong and be kind, loving and compassionate.
