Movie Night during Lent Mark your calendars for movie night during Lent. Fri., Apr 5th at 7:00 PM. We’ll watch Indian Horse which is based on the book by Richard Wagamese and follows the life of Saul Indian Horse, one of the first Indigenous hockey players in the NHL, as he moves his way through the struggles of life. Please remember to sign-up on the bulletin board so we can prepare for you.

Trinity Office Hours – effective Tuesday, February 26 and until further notice, the office will be staffed by volunteers. Please call ahead of your trip to be sure there will be someone here to assist you. Thank you!

We continue our search for a chair and deputy chair of the board. A number of other committees also continue their search for new members. If you feel called to these positions, please speak to Karen Wall (kwall@mymts.net) or any member of the board.

SouthSide Fellowhip: Save the date: Spring Concert Monday April 8, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Please join us for a concert with Liz Kristjanson and the Whyte Ridge Elementary School Choir, vocalists and percussionists. We are requesting donations of bags of mandarin oranges and apples (13 bags of each) to be brought to the church by the morning of April 7. These will be given to the children as a small token of appreciation. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex.

Please check our LOST AND FOUND table in the Narthex. Items will be kept on display until Sunday, March 31 after which any remaining items will be donated to charity.

DID YOU KNOW? Holy Yoga is offered the 2nd and 4th Saturday at 9:45am and every Tuesday at 5:30pm. Chair and floor yoga are offered. Come and join this free program!

What if I Got Hit by a Bus – Good Shepherd is planning to host a seminar on getting one’s affairs in order on Sat Apr 27th from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm. Presenter: Margaret Meush; lunch provided by Richard Rosin Funeral Director Ltd. Cost: $65, includes manual. Minimum of 6 participants required. Trinity’s Repeat Announcements

Ambassadors: The Fellowship Committee is looking for volunteers to act as Sunday morning ambassadors. If you are interested in learning more about this program, please contact Bev Wiens at 204-981-6683.

The United Church Halfway homes are looking for an exercise bike for the use of its residents. If you have one that is in good repair that you would be willing to donate, please contact Ed Johnson at ed.johnson@umanitoba.ca

 

Trinity and Good Shepherd Events at Trinity

Southside Fellowship at Trinity is offering free adapted Yoga for seniors (chair can be used or the floor). Mondays – March 25, April 1, 15, 29, May 6 & 13. Time 1-2 pm yoga, 2-3 social time. For further information contact Suni at 204-275-7639.

Wednesday Community Lunches: Good Shepherd hosts a weekly soup, bread and cheese lunch at 12:30 pm. All are welcome! Please speak to Jennifer Sisson if you have questions or would like to help. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex.

Just Talk – a conversation class for newcomers and those wanting to improve their speaking and listening skills in English. Fridays at 7:00 pm–9:00 pm at Trinity. Contact Ann and Peter Timonin at 204-261-7578 or timonina@hotmail.com for more information.

In Case of an Emergency We have an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) located to the left of the exit doors to the parking lot, a First Aid Kit, a walker, and a Comfort Care Kit located on the shelf to the left of the large entry doors to the sanctuary.

We need your help Please sign-up on the bright green poster in the coat area for Sundays to usher, greet, read scripture, and lead the prayers. Thank you for being involved in your church offering your time and talents.

Trinity United is Scent Free Please refrain from using products that contain scents as they may affect the breathing ability of others.

From the Property Committee: We now have security cameras in our parking lot and in the narthex – remember to smile!

Electronic Recycling You can bring batteries, light bulbs, cords, and any electronics to the church and place them in the marked blue box in the narthex to be properly recycled. Is your old TV too heavy to carry into the church? Just call the church, leave us a message and we will be happy to come and collect it!

New: We will also collect used vehicle oil, filters and anti-freeze and any paint; call and we’ll pick it up.
