Sunday Happenings

Scripture Readings for May 20:  Acts 2:1-21; Ezekiel 37:1-14; Psalm 104:24-34, 35b; Romans 8:22-27; Acts 2:1-21; John 15:26-27; John 16:4b-15.  Monday evening Bible Study is at 7:15 PM.  Wednesday morning Bible Study is 9:30 – 11:00.  Join us as we uncover the mystery within this ancient book.

You and your family are invited as together we honour and celebrate the retirement of our minister, Milly Malavsky, on Sunday, September 16, 2018. This special event will be held at Trinity beginning with a program at 2:00 p.m. and a reception to follow. BUS TO THE CONFERENCE WORSHIP SERVICE AT THE U OF M ON MAY 27th at 10:00am: The Board has authorized the Worship Committee to make arrangements for bus transportation for Trinity people who wish to attend the Sunday, May 27th Conference worship service at the University of Manitoba, provided there is a minimum of 48 people who will use the bus service. Please let the church office know if you are interested in going to and from the service by bus by no later than Monday, May 14th You can call the office at 204-269-1632 or e-mail at: tuc@mymts.net   There are also sign-up sheets posted on the bulletin board outside the sanctuary doors in the narthex.  If you have already put your name on the sign-up sheet you do not need to do anything else.

Bomber fundraiser! The sign up boards are posted; the schedule has been determined and we are ready for another season of parking cars and directing people at the Bomber games! If you volunteered last year, you need only do the online test; if you are new and want to join the team, you must do the online and in person training provided. Here’s the link: the Traffic B01 – Basic Fundraiser Traffic Control Training to complete the online training and test followed by the sign up for the in person training. Go Bombers!

 

Trinity’s Repeat Announcements

South Side Fellowship Wind-up – Tuesday, May 22 at 12:30 at Smitty’s!  It has been a great year!  Please join us in the fall when we start up again on October 9, 2018.

Please discontinue bringing grocery bags for the Food Bank.   We appreciate your response but they are no longer required at this time.

Guess Who’s Coming for Dinner is Sold Out.  All that remains is the ever popular, In a Stew (including a vegetarian stew) to be held Wed., June 20 at TUC starting at 5:30 PM.  Tickets are $20 and on sale until June 12.  Contact Dale Kendel for more information.  Thanks to all the hosts and bidders for their support of this fun, fund raising and fellowship event and thanks for the generous support of Trinity and Good Shepherd churches.  A HUGE thank you goes to Dale and to Barb Kendel for planning this event.

Electronic Recycling You can bring batteries, light bulbs, cords, and any electronics to the church and place them in the marked blue box in the narthex to be properly recycled.  Is your old TV too heavy to carry into the church?  Just call the church, leave us a message and we will be happy to come and collect it!
